How is this different to a skip?
No permit needed even on a narrow street, you only pay for the time you use rather than a week's hire, and we take everything away same-day instead of it sitting on your drive.
How long do I get?
Time slots start from 1 hour. Tell us roughly how much you've got and we'll recommend the right length.
Do I have to load it myself?
No - our team can load for you, flag anything that can't go, and get it all in the van within your slot.
What can't you take?
Same restrictions as most licensed waste carriers: no asbestos, no gas canisters, no hazardous chemicals. Ask if you're unsure about anything.
Why Choose Our St Austell Wait and Load Team
Unlike a skip on a public road, a wait and load slot needs no council permit.
Book only the slot you need instead of paying for days of skip hire.
Fully compliant disposal - no fly-tipping risk to you.
Not a national booking line - real people who know the area.
Book a slot and we're often there, and gone, the same day.
The price for your slot is the price you pay - nothing added afterward.

- Book a slot - Confirm a convenient time, often same-day or next-day.
- We arrive - At the start of your booked slot.

Local Knowledge - St Austell & Surrounding Areas
Wait and load works particularly well in the older parts of St Austell where street parking is tight and a skip simply isn't practical - the terraces around Trinity Street in the town centre, for instance, where a one-way system and limited kerb space make skip permits especially awkward, or the narrower lanes around Pentewan and Polgooth to the south and west.
We also cover Porthpean and the coastal fringe, where properties often don't have the driveway space a skip needs, along with the wider PL25 area.
Frequently Asked Questions About Wait and Load
Can I book a slot for the same day?
Often yes, subject to availability - call to check.
Do you take garden waste too?
Yes, general household and garden waste can go in the same slot.
What if I need longer than my slot?
Just let the team know on the day - we'll extend if we can, or book a follow-up slot.
Is this cheaper than a skip?
For small-to-medium loads, usually yes, since you're not paying for a full week's hire.
Do I need to be present for the whole slot?
No, but it helps if you're around at the start to point out what needs to go.
